The Learning Consultant's goal is help students identified with specific learning differences achieve academic success. This goal is accomplished by assisting and supporting teachers in order to make appropriate adjustments to instruction and assessment, as well as serving as a resource for parents and students. While her primary role is not that of direct service to the students, she may help coordinate support services to enhance the students' study and organizational skills, communication skills, and self-esteem for improved performance in the regular classroom setting.
