Sept. 10 the Crusaders went to the University of Missouri to compete in the Mizzou CC Challenge.

The Lady Crusaders finished in 2nd place behind Wentzville Holt.  Leading this week was Kaitlyn Shea-2nd, Joni Reinkemeyer-16th, Lydia Linsenbardt-19th, Baylee Francka-25th, Amanda Patino-30th, Ali Boudreau-34th and Suzie Ahlvers-43rd.

Varsity Boys finished in 7th place and were led by Michael McCoy-29th, Tommy Asmar-34th, Matt Lorang-46th, Evan Block-50th, Vincent altomari-53rd, Eric Prullage-55th and Christian Collins-56th.

JV medalists included Macy Randolph-6th, Hannah Tornes-18th, Morgan Lute-25th and in the freshman boys race Chris Lindsey took 3rd.

Next cross country action is Saturday, Sept. 17 at the Fulton Inv.

Saturday, Sept. 3 the Helias CC teams debuted at the Jim Marshall Invitational.  The Lady Crusaders finished in 4th place  behind returning state champs in Class 4 West Plains, Class 3 champs Kearney and Class 4 placer, Wentzville Holt.

Leading the way was freshman Kaitlyn Shea in 5th place.  Other top varsity girls included 18th-Lydia Linsenbardt, 22-Joni Reinkemeyer, 30-Baylee Francka, and 37-Ali Boudreau.

The Crusaders ran only 5 boys due to injury and illness.  Top finisher was freshman Tommy Asmar in 39th place.

The cross country teams held an intersquad race on Saturday, 8/27/11.  We divided into 4 teams and raced against each other.  Leading the way for the boys individually were: Junior Michael McCoy, Freshman Thomas Asmar, Senior Nick Vellios, Junior Vincent Altomari, Sophomore Evan Block, Junior Eric Prullage, and Sophomore Christian Collins.

Leading the way for the Lady Crusaders were Freshman Kaitlyn Shea, Junior Joni Reinkemeyer, Sophomore Lydia Linsenbardt, Sophomore Ali Boudreau, Sophomore Baylee Francka,, Junior Suzie Ahlvers, and Sophomore Amanda Patino.

The season will begin this Saturday, 9/3/11 at the Jim Marshall Invitational at Cole Co. Park in Jefferson.  Varsity races begin at 9:00 a.m. with the boys, followed by the Varsity Girls and then the junior varsity races.  Come out and support your Crusaders.
