The Cross Country teams have been putting in the miles this summer. The boys team will be lead by seniors Austin Raithel, Cody Lute and Chad Belt. These three will need to be great leaders, since our team is still very young. One junior returns and that is Nick Vellios. Sophomores with varsity experience include Michael McCoy, Austin Smith and Lucas Phillips. We have some experience, but it will take making the right chemistry with this young group of runners. Our schedule has only one change this year, so courses are familiar to the runners. District assignments will change this year and we will not know where we be running on Oct. 29 until September. We want to be at our best to win another District title.
Home meets include running at the Capital City Classic on Sept. 4, the Helias Ivitational on Oct. 11, and the state meet on Nov. 6. Come out and support the Crusader harriers.
