The girls tennis team started the season on a good note by defeating the Mexico Bulldogs 9-0. Singles winners were Ashley Roling, Meghan Crider, Danica Shimkus, Erin Mills, Abby Gober, and Taylor Luetkemeyer. The doubles teams that it a clean sweep were Ashley Rolingand Erin Mills at #1 doubles, Meghan Crider and Abby Gober at #2 doubles, and Danica Shimkus and Taylor Luetkemeyer at #3 doubles. The Lady Crusaders are back in action tonight at Washington Park when they host Waynesville.

The Lady Crusaders only victory came at number 2 singles. Meghan Crider won 8-4. Meghan and her partner, Ashley Roling lost a tough doubles match 7-9 at #1 doubles.

The Lady Crusaders had a successful voyage to the Lake of the Ozarks on Tuesday. The girls took 4 of the 6 singles matches and 2 of the 3 doubles matches. Singles winners were Danica Shimkus, Erin Mills, Brianna Smith, and Grace Chen. The winning doubles teams were Erin Mills / Brianna Smith and Grace Chen / Danica Shimkus. The Lady Crusaders are now 7-4.

Tennis Team Places 2nd at Hannibal Tournament

The Lady Crusader tennis team placed second at the Hannibal Tournament. Erin Mills won the #4 singles flight. The follwing girls places second in their respective flights Ashley Roling, Danica Shimkus, Brianna Smith, Taylor Luetkemeyer. The doubles teams of Morgan Dunville / Grace Chen, Taylor Steinmetz / Melissa Gassner and Liz Loethen/ Cassidy Schrimpf finished 3rd in their doubles flights. Emily Stumpe / Savannah Padgett placed fourth.

Tennis Team Places 2nd at Rolla Doubles Tournament

AShley Roling and Meghan Crider lead the Lady Crusader tennis team to 2nd place in the Rolla Doubles Tournament by winning the #1 doubles flight. Danica Shimkus and Brianna Smith finished 2nd at the #2 flight. Taylor Luetkemeyer and Erin Mills places 3rd in the #3 doubles flight. Grace Chen and Melissa Gassner placed 3rd at the #4 doubles flight.

Lady Crusaders Beat Lady Pirates

The girl's tennis team defeated Hannibal 6-3 on Saturday. Singles winners were Meghan Crider, Danica Shimkus, Erin Mills and Brianna Smith. The Lady Crusaders took two of the three doubles. Double team winners were Ashley Roling / Meghan Crider at #1 doubles and Taylor Luetkemeyer / Danica Shimkus at #2 doubles. This victory improves the team record to 2-3. The team is back in action Thursday when they travel to Fulton.

Meghan Crider Wins Again

Meghan Crider was the only player to win a match against Marshall. Ashley Roling, who played number 1, lost a close match. The Lady Crusader will try to reverse the losing trend when they travel to Hannibal on Saturday.

Kewpies Swing Past The Lady Crusaders

The girls tennis had a tough time against the Hickman Kewpies Tuesday at Washington Park. Meghan Crider provided the only bright spot for the Lady Crusaders by winning in 3 sets in her singles match and pairing with Erin Mills to win at #3 doubles. The tennis team will try to get back on the winning track on Wednesday when the Marshall Owls fly into to town.

Girls Tennis has Tough Time With The Jays

The Lady Crusaders could only manage to win two varsity matches against their cross town rival. Paige Kolb won at number one singles and Meghan Crider won at number six singles. This loss brings the team's season record to 1-1. The netters are back in action on September 8 when they host Hickman.

The Girl's Tennis Team started their season on a positive note by defeated the Mexico Bulldogs on Thursday by the score 9-0. Singles winners were Paige Kolb, Ashley Roling, Taylor Luetkemeyer, Danica Shimkus, Erin Mills, and Meghan Crider. The varsity swept the doubles. Also, the Junior Varsity played well and won all of their mathces. The Lady Crudsaders on back in action on September 1 against the Jays.
